Dear Friends,
We are delighted to share South Florida PBS’ compelling March lineup in recognition of Women’s History Month. This season features the premiere of She Was First, an inspiring six-part series celebrating women in the arts whose dedication and perseverance changed their trajectories. She Was First was the vision of the late Felicia Taylor, an acclaimed correspondent, storyteller, philanthropist, and member of the South Florida PBS family. Her passion for elevating women’s stories, especially young artists and professionals, is sustained through this series which was made possible by her generosity.
Additional programming includes Independent Lens: Keep Quiet Forgive, Of The People: Women of the Civil Rights Movement, and more powerful storytelling with lasting impact. March also brings highly anticipated drama premieres, including the return of Call the Midwife for Season 15. New MASTERPIECE programs include The Forsytes and The Count of Monte Cristo. Music programming takes center stage this month with unforgettable performances: Barbra Streisand: Timeless Live in Concert, Barry Manilow: Live by Request, and Il Volo: In the Valley of the Temples.
South Florida PBS values meaningful connections with our community through seasonal events. This spring, join us at the Visit Lauderdale Science Festival at the Museum of Discovery and Science, the South Florida Sun Sentinel PRIME Expo, and the Broward Heart Walk. Your donations make our ongoing service to the community possible. Philanthropic giving sustains our trusted, award-winning programming, educational initiatives and lifelong learning for everyone, especially underserved children.
Our exciting foray into immersive experiences continues with two incredible journeys: Egyptian Pharaohs from Cheops to Ramses II and Titanic – An Immersive Voyage. Both adventures are currently showing at our Boynton Beach campus, and each one opens doors virtually to moments in time with which we are both familiar and those that may be new to us. I encourage you to come and explore the world with us, right in our own backyard!
Thank you for your continued commitment as valued Friends and members of our South Florida PBS family.
With warmest regards, Dolores Fernandez Alonso, President & CEO of South Florida PBS |
